The Bear Essentials Teddy Bear
Gift Shop, Bawnboy, Co Cavan |
 |
The Bear Essentials
Teddy Bear Gift Shop was set up by the
owners on moving from Germany to
Ireland in 1984 as
they fell in love with the
beautiful countryside of County Cavan, a
perfect mix of lakes and mountains. Not
knowing that this area beside Marble
Arch Caves & Cuilcagh Mountain Park was
going to be one of the first Cross
Border Geoparks in the world - Marble
Arch Caves Global Geopark.
The Teddy Bear is more than a toy, it is
a unique collectible Item, increasing in
value and eventually becoming an
Heirloom. Growing up in Germany, where
the Teddy Bear Tradition is very strong,
has influenced the
owners own designs of
handcrafted Mohair Bears.
With the launch of the Silver Bear
Centre in March 2007 the owners have
created a magical and spacious Centre
for visitors. There are workshops for
adults and children alike. |
