Water Rock Golf Course,
set in beautiful surroundings on the banks of the Owenacurra
River, the course uses international
standards,designed by renowned Golf
Course Architect, Mr. Patrick Merrigan whose work includes Slieve
Russell, Old Head of Kinsale and Wooden Bridge. This
is an 18 hole, par 70, 6223 yard course The signature
hole is known locally as 'Swan lake', the 240 yard 12th par 3,
plays over water to a contouring green, Quite a challenge to all.

on the west side of Bandon between the
Clonakilty and Dunmanway roads in the
old Castlebernard estate.
You will be faced with a testing
parkland course in beautiful sylvan
setting with natural hazards abounding.
Set on the undulating slopes of the
Bandon Valley the course meanders around
the ruins of the stately old
Castlebernard with holes being protected
by water and bunkers. The course was
founded initially in 1909 and was
extended to 18
holes in the 1970's. |

located, a short drive outside Bantry

City's international airport and
passenger ferry terminal. Located in the
heart of a 780 acre estate.
At the beginning of 1998 Fota
Island Golf Club was under the direction
of Jeff Howes Golf Designs upgraded to
European Tour Standards. Following an 18
month multi-million Euro programme that
saw the rebuilding of all 18 greens, the
redevelopment of all tees and the
redesign of several of the holes, the
course reopened in September 1999. This
paid dividends with the Deerpark Course
playing host to the Irish Open in 2001 &
2002, won by Colin Montgomerie and Soren
Hansen respectively. |
