continental cafe along with a banqueting & conference centre
while also refurbishing their bar and restaurant. There are a

and tea and coffee making facilities. Recently renovated, all rooms
are stylishly decorated and well appointed to ensure the maximum

Macroom is a picturesque market town
full of brightly painted buildings and with a wealth of historical
interest. The ruins of Macroom Castle can be seen from the town,
although little remains of the original building. On the western
side of the town square, the Castle Demesne is a magnificent natural
stone built gateway to the castle grounds, a haven of secluded walks
offering views across Macroom and the Sullane Valley. Other places
of interest nearby include the local museum, the Town Hall, the
Convent of Mercy and the Macroom Workhouse. Slightly further afield,
the Gearagh Wild Life Nature Reserve is home to an abundance of
flora and fauna. The area around Macroom is renowned for its natural
beauty and is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits such as
hill walking, fishing and golf. Situated in West Cork, it is ideally
placed within reach of a variety of places of interest, such as
Garnish Island in Glengariff, Blarney Castle, the heritage town of
Kenmare and, of course, the bustling city of Cork itself.

Directions from Cork Airport to Macroom,
Take a left turn our of the Airport gates Drive for approx 1 mile
until Kinsale Rd roundabout Take slip rd left, bringing you onto
dual carragie-way heading west. Follow signs for N22 or Killarney.
It is 64km from Cork Airport and there is a regular bus service from
the town to Cork and Killarney also. Coming from Dublin it is
possible to take the train to Millstreet Station, we are 13 miles
from the station by
taxi.
