Tralee - Dingle Steam Railway

Travel Ireland » Kerry » Tralee

Steam Railways continue to fascinate and enthrall.  The Tralee & Dingle line is special.  It’s Europe’s most westerly line and, as part of the famous Tralee & Dingle Light Railway (1891-1953), has a folklore and tradition stretching back over a hundred years.

The steam railway links Tralee with Blennerville on the coast.  Steam trains depart from Ballyard Station (on the Dingle Road) on the hour, from 11.00 a.m., returning on the half-hour from Blennerville.  The last train departed Blennerville at 5.30p.m.
