Granard Harp Festival
held in County Longford in May is a
celebration of the Harp and it also has
workshops on tin whistle, fiddle,
bodhrán, traditional singing, poetry,
story telling and harp competitions. The
festival had been set up all those years
ago to revive interest in the Irish Harp
and its music and the interest by the
public has held ever since with
competitors coming from all over Europe
and further a field. |
