Achill Yawl Sailing Festival, Co Mayo - June - September
Achill Yawl Sailing Festival, Co Mayo is held in the months June to September, a sailing festival in traditional Achill yawl sailing boats, it involves a number of races in different venues around Achill Sound and the surrounding area. Achill is an area of great beauty and peace in County Mayo a great place for sailing and all water activities. Enjoy the great coastlines along Achill and the numerous Blue Flag beaches.

Castlebar International Four Days' Walking Festival held in June has been in existence since 1967. An opportunity to explore the wonderful countryside which the West of Ireland has to offer. Walkers of all grades will enjoy it. Castlebar is the starting point !!

Swinford Agricultural Show held in August is a great festival for the family, with lots of exhibits, music, novelty events, judging of sheep, cattle, poultry, pets, flower competitions, jam and baking competitions and demonstrations and craft stands, its a great day out in the West of Ireland.  Swinford is just 11miles from Knock International Airport in County Mayo.

Westport Cycling Challenge - August
  Cycle Challenge West, Westport County Mayo in August has three routes to choose from with a 50km route a 100km route and a 150km route. Along with the fun and challenge, the competitors can enjoy wonderful scenery and 5 euro of the entry free goes to the Irish Heart Foundation a very good cause.
