extensive menu using only the finest fresh ingredients. During the

Attractions

Sligo has a diverse landscape and varied
scenery, including sandy bays, forest trails, rivers and lakes.
Known as Yeats' Country after its most famous son, the poet W B
Yeats, no visit to Sligo is complete without a trip to Drumcliff
churchyard where he was buried in 1948. There is also the ruins of
an old monastery and a fine High Cross. Other places of interest on
the literary tour include Lissadell house and Rosses Point. Parke's
Castle is a fortified manor house overlooking Lough Gill and is the
perfect place from which to take a boat trip on the Lough. The port
of Sligo is perfectly situated for touring the area and visitors can
enjoy the medieval Sligo Abbey the Sligo Art Gallery and the County
Museum. Just outside Sligo is Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery with a
large collection of stone age tombs and Dolmens. Overlooking this
Knocknarea mountain offers a one hour climb to the summit.
