Dungarvan is the county town of Waterford. Located at the mouth of the beautiful Colligan river and with the majestic Comeragh mountains in the background, this thriving centre of activity has much to offer the visitor with miles of clean sandy beach for the family day out.

There are walking tours and horse riding facilities in the surrounding glens and valleys.  The town's central point is Grattan Square, from where the many craft-shops and stores can be explored for that special gift.  When it comes to outdoor activities, you are spoiled for choice, from fishing in the crystal clear fresh-water lakes and rivers to deep-sea shark fishing in Dungarvan Bay, with pitch & putt, tennis, board-sailing and yachting all well catered for.

For the golfer, there are wonders waiting to be explored, with three magnificent championship courses within five minutes drive, each with its own unique design and challenge.  Four superb hotels with modern leisure facilities, including heated indoor swimming pools, offer accommodation and cuisine of the highest standard at competitive rates.  Eating out, whether for midday lunch, afternoon tea or a romantic candlelit dinner, is a must in one of the town's many fine restaurants.  for night-life and your favorite pint, there are over fifty pubs to choose from.  After a relaxing break, you will reluctantly bid farewell, longing to return to this idyllic paradise in the sunny Southeast.
