Ballycanew Equestrian
Centre operated under the
constant personal supervision of the
owner, Sandra Maguire, this compact
equestrian centre offers the ideal
conditions and encouragement to get
started in the exciting world of ponies
and horses. Individual attention is
assured and careful attention to the
comfort, care and safety of even the
youngest rider is the foremost priority
of the owner.
Facilities include a floodlight arena, a
cross country course, farm rides, small
arena for children/adults, outdoor
manege (weather dependent), trail rides
and beach rides. Activities include
cross country rides, dressage, group
lessons, hacking, individual lessons,
pony camp, show jumping and half day
trail riding.

Ballyellen Equestrian
Centre located in the picturesque
rolling hills of the south Wicklow -
north Wexford border, Ballyellen
Equestrian Centre provides you with the
perfect opportunity to get into the
saddle. Catering for all levels of
ability and all ages, the people at
Ballyellen are on hand to provide you
with a warm welcome and experienced
supervision when it comes to horse
riding. The centre is approved by the
Association of Irish Riding
Establishments and boasts a fine stable
block and a brand new all - weather sand
arena which measures 200 ft by 120 ft.
The centre also offers livery facilities
for those wishing to find ' board and
lodgings ' for their horse or pony.
Regular or once - off horse riding
lessons can be arranged on an individual
or group basis at a time that suits you
and from this summer on, week - long
pony camps are being organised for those
wishing to improve their riding skills
and to learn more about the care of
horses. |

The Byrne
Family welcomes you to Butterfly Farm,
we have a long family history of show
jumping and the love of the sport
is evident here in all our team.Riding
School -
Butterfly Farm offers a variety of
lessons for very beginners to advanced
riders, or those riders that want to
improve in certain disciplines. We teach
all ages (starting at age 6) and accept
all disciplines, so you are sure to find
something that suits your needs. We are
also firm believers that we can become
better riders by cross training and
learning from different disciplines and
we believe in making learning fun. We
also have a number of horses that are
suitable for the disabled rider, we run
weekly lessons for disabled riders with
experienced staff members ensuring the
safety and welfare of the rider is of
utmost importance. Show
jumping is our forte and we hold
regular training clinics with
International riders, some of our
previous trainers include Cian O Connor
and Taylor Vard. We run S.J.I. leagues
and training shows throughout the year
which dates can be seen on our events
page. Micheal Byrne is our resident show
jumping trainer and lessons are
available on a private or group basis.

Shelmalier, Wexford's longest
established Riding Centre is only 7km
from Wexford town and is staffed by
enthusiastic, highly skilled, qualified
people. We
offer a large selection of well-trained
horses and ponies, all with superb
temperaments and excellent facilities
including both indoor and outdoor arenas
and cross-country and show jumping
courses. We
welcome riders of all levels and
encourage each individual to progress at
their own rate in a relaxed and friendly
environment and to enjoy their time with
our horses and ponies.
We offer scenic woodland rides
through 3000 acres of forest, daytime,
evening and weekend lessons,
non-residential camps for children and
exam training.
We are open all year round by
appointment. Booking is essential. Our
minimum age for children is 5 years.
