Since our launch in
August 2002, Mermaid Arts Centre has
made a splash in the artistic and
cultural life of County Wicklow. We
present an ambitious programme of
performance including innovative dance,
spellbinding theatre, cutting edge music
and art-house cinema. Mermaid’s doors
opened on 31 August 2002 with a
fantastic performance by the
awe-inspiring Mary Coughlan, and since
then we are pleased to have welcomed a
wide variety of musicians from near and
far. Audiences will not forget the
outstanding and intriguing evening with
multi-talented Texan roots singer Terry
Allen or the absorbing and captivating
performance by Mexican guitarists
Rodrigo & Gabriela.

Greystones Theatre is a brand new
privately owned and managed venue for
the town of Greystones which offers the
very best in arts and entertainment.
Located centrally in the heart of the
seaside town of Greystones, this venue
provides the community with a versatile
and exciting new space, in which to
partake and enjoy various types of
entertainment and cultural
activities.The Theatre is situated at
the base of the Theatre Complex
incorporating a number of schools and
facilities dedicated to performance,
entertainment and the arts. Within the
complex you will find state-of-the-art
dance studios, music school, recording
facilities, drama school, make-up
school, photography studio, and
photography gallery. All of the above
facilities also offer educational
courses in each discipline. We are proud
to cater for young and old alike with
something to suit everyone's taste. |
