the Irish language boarding school, is

Gortnadiha Lodge is a gracious country
house, with a superb view of the Celtic
Sea and terraced, well-established
gardens. The
guests can sit in our woodland garden,
with a good book after an exhausting
day, touring the interesting hinterland.
The days begins with a wonderful
breakfast using locally produced organic
ingredients including freshly squeezed
fruit juices, home toasted muesli with
natural yoghurt, rhubarb and
strawberries, poached pears and plums,
breakfast fruit salad, oatmeal porridge
with local produce.
Gortnadiha Lodge is situated in
the Gaeltacht Irish speaking Peninsula
of Ring – 7 km from the lively town
Dungarvan with its nice quay and
harbour. You will find here award
winning restaurants, pubs, a Heritage
Centre and Museum. But last not least it
is an ideal base for touring the South
East, Cork and Tipperary.
The Commeragh Mountains, the
beautiful Blackwater Valley are only
some kilometres away, also Lismore
Castle with its known Gardens and the
Lismore Golf Club, facing the riverbanks
of the Blackwater and Ardmore with its
ancient Round Tower.
There are another three 18-Hole
golf courses within a 10 km radius from
Dungarvan. In
the surrounding areas you will find
excellent places for Sea-Angling and
Coarse- Angling.
Hill walking and mountain climbing is
possible in the Commeraghs and the
Knockmeldown-Mountains, sailing and
windsurfing in the Dungarvan Bay. |

just 3 miles from the centre of
Waterford City.
The house is on the edge of a small
country village called Slieverue or
Slaigh Rua in Irish which translates to
Red Hill or Mountain. Though in the
countryside the house is close to the
city. Waterford is best known for its
famous Crystal, the now closed factory
is just a 15 minute drive from the
house, the visitor Centre is still there
and is open 7 days for most of the year,
five days during the 3 winter months.
Waterford and the South East is one of
the most scenic areas of the country
with more then the Crystal Factory to
see, over the years Waterford has being
seen as just a stop over point to see
the Crystal Factory but there is a lot
